By Sami K. Martin on March 02,2012

The Palin family is back in the spotlight again, as Bristol Palin begins filming her new series "Bristol Palin: Life's a Tripp!" for Lifetime.

Lifetime has ordered 10 half-hour episodes of the new series, which will document Bristol's return to Alaskan life with son Tripp. Sarah and Todd Palin are expected to be a part of the series, which will be interesting considering the new movies being released about Sarah's failed campaign. Will Bristol's series upstage her mother's return to TV?

"From the first moment she was thrust into the public eye, Bristol and her son have been the subjects of a huge amount of curiosity and misunderstanding. This show will reveal the real Bristol Palin and her journey as a daughter, a mother, and a young woman making her way in the world," said the Lifetime press release. more >>

  • Sarah Palin Documentaries Duel in March (VIDEO)

By Sami K. Martin on February 22,2012

Dueling documentaries about Sarah Palin will be featured on HBO and ReelzChannel next month.

ReelzChannel just announced it had garnered the rights to air "The Undefeated" the same weekend as HBO's release of "Game Change." Both movies will cover the life of Palin and her sudden rise to fame during 2008's presidential election. Yet HBO's film takes a more liberal approach based on the book by journalists John Heilemann and Mark Halperin.

HBO, though, has issued a statement saying: "We hope that people will withhold any judgment until they have viewed the film. In the tradition of past HBO Films' release schedules, 'Game Change' is set to debut in the spring." more >>

  • Sarah Palin: 'I'd Vote for Newt'

By Sami K. Martin on January 19,2012

Sarah Palin has told Fox News, “If I had to vote in South Carolina, I’d vote for Newt, and I would want this to continue.” Her husband, Todd, endorsed Gingrich on Jan. 9, saying, "Newt Gingrich is a true leader, which he has proven not only since the beginning of his campaign, but throughout his career." Many pundits are wondering if Palin's support is enough to help Gingrich, who is currently running second behind Mitt Romney.

Palin explained that she would like to see further examination of the Republican candidates before they are put to the test against incumbent President Barack Obama. “More debates, more vetting of candidates because we know the mistake made in our country four years ago was having a candidate that was not vetted, to the degree that he should have been.”

She added, “I want to see that [vetting] taking place this time because America is on this precipice-it’s that important. We need this process to continue.” Palin also stated that “these guys [Romney, Perry, Paul, Santorum and Gingrich] are getting better in their debates” and fleshing out their core beliefs, which is important to voters. more >>
