A 32-year-old woman has been viciously attacked in her North Carolina home at the start of this month. Though her throat was cut, she amazingly managed to ward off her attackers and save her own life by reciting Bible passages aloud to her assailants.
Devout Christian Lindsay Wood was left in a bad way following the bloody attack, but will come through the ordeal, reports have said.
Police have since charged two teens in conjunction with the attack, according to a report by local North Carolina news source, The Shelby Star.
Miguel Lopez, 16, is being charged with Conspiracy to Commit Murder, Attempted Murder, Secret Assault, and First Degree Kidnapping.
A 15-year-old is also being held and is charged with Conspiracy to Commit Murder and Attempted Murder. No other information can be reported due the suspect's age.
The suspects did know the victim, but the extent of their relationship has not been released at this time.

According to ABC news, on Feb. 1 Wood had just returned home from bible study. Her 15-year-old son left the house, and at that point attackers entered the home. Though they managed to cut her throat, she read bible passages to her attackers until they left.
"She told him please not to hurt her, that she loved the Lord and her son," a neighbor told ABC. After about an hour and a half, her attacker eventually apologized and left.
