USA vs. Australia in the men's basketball quarter finals takes place at the London 2012 Olympics on Wednesday. Team USA go into the game as hot favorites, and all the action can be watched online through live stream from 5.15 p.m. ET (details below).

Team USA are coming into the quarter final unbeaten with a record of 5-0 in Olympic play, and they will be confident of continuing that winning streak in today's quarter final game.

The U.S. side is packed full of the best of the NBA, where as Australia has only one NBA player on its roster, Patrick Mills. So there should really only be one result from this game and the score line should be quite overwhelming. However, Australia have not made it through to the quarter finals for no reason, and they do have some useful talent in their side.

Also Team USA have not been operating in top gear by any means in the Olympic tournament so far and have had a tight game against Tunisia, as well as a scrappy result against Argentina recently.

Although they were quite comfortable throughout the game against Argentina the side lacked focus at times, and that will be something Team USA will have been looking at in preparation to today's quarter finals.

Kobe Bryant has had a relatively quiet Olympic tournament so far, but then again there's not been many close games where he has had to emerge to show his true quality. Now the tournament has reached the knock out stages the line up of Team USA's best players should become more tense knowing any slip up could cause immediate problems for their gold medal dreams.
