Selena Gomez has reportedly split up with Justin Bieber for good

Selena Gomez has become the subject of an anti-sweatshop group's protest on Wednesday.

The 19-year-old helped kick off New York Fashion Week in Manhattan at a fashion show featuring Adidas' NEO line when an uninvited woman approached her while distributing flyers.

"Selena Gomez: Be an ambassador for children, not for sweatshops," the flyer read, according to Us magazine.

The woman and her companion then continued to distribute the material amongst the front row audience at the fashion event before being expelled by security, according Omg! Yahoo.

The protesters are a part of a group called United Students Against Sweatshops, and believe that Adidas participates in "sweatshop" labor overseas. A sweatshop refers to any working environment considered to be dangerous or difficult and where workers are underpaid and where child labor laws may be violated.

"We're here to tell Selena Gomez that she should cut ties with Adidas because Adidas has refused to pay severance to 2,800 garment workers who sewed apparel for over 10 years," said group member Claire Lewis while speaking to Omg! Yahoo News.

"We've been campaigning for the last year," she added.

Brushing off the incident, Gomez calmly addressed the audience and thanked the designers.

"Thank you so much for coming out," said the actress, reported Us magazine. "I'm so excited to be a part of this and so excited to see what you guys did with it- you did an amazing job!"

Gomez, who serves as an ambassador for Adidas, is also a strong supporter of UNICEF with whom she has been working since 2008.

Meanwhile, the "Love You Like A Song" singer has made several headlines lately over her on-again, off-again relationship with Justin Bieber.

"They talked about their future, but Justin can't grow up," said a source close to the Gomez and Bieber situation, according to HollywoodLife.com. "She would totally be with him again, but he just wants to [sleep with] whoever he wants."
