Russell Wilson, Seattle Seahawks QB, is completing his rookie season with an upcoming Pro Bowl appearance and did not forget to count his blessings after the announcement was made.

Wilson, 24-year-old Christian QB, is replacing the Atlanta Falcons' Matt Ryan in the NFL all-star game scheduled to take place on Jan. 27 in Hawaii. The game will end the QB's rookie season which he calls nothing short of amazing.

"Blessed to wake up this morning and head to Hawaii for the Pro Bowl," Wilson tweeted on Tuesday. "This Rookie season has been an amazing journey."

The rookie tied the NFL rookie record with 26 passing touchdowns during the 2012-2013 regular season. During his NFC playoff loss to the Atlanta Falcons, Wilson threw for a season-high 385 yards with two touchdowns.

The quarterback has not shied away from being vocal about his Christian faith and also tweeted a passage from the Bible to over 200,000 Twitter followers.

"My brethren, count it all joy when you fall into various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience. James 1:2, 3," Wilson shared with his followers.

While Wilson was initially voted as a third alternate for the NFC's team in the Pro Bowl, Ryan's injury from his NFC championship loss to the San Francisco 49ers left him thanking God when the announcement was made earlier this week.

"Blessed to be in the Pro Bowl," Wilson tweeted. "Thanks to God, teammates, coaches, and of course the best fans in the NFL."

A number of people showed their approval for Wilson being added to the Pro Bowl less than a week before the game where the NFC's best will face off against the AFC's highest performing players.

"Congrats! Well-deserved," one person tweeted.

Another individual said the QB was nothing short of inspiring.

"Congratulations Russell. You are in inspiration," the person tweeted.
