A new study guide on the Book of Revelation written by an ordained minister with over 25 years of evangelism and teaching experience, serves to make understanding biblical prophecy easy for the average believer. In an interview with The Christian Post, however, the author insists that no amount of studying will provide all the answers, and anyone claiming otherwise is not telling the truth.
Stephen Wood's The Disciple's Guide to Revelation serves not only as an introductory guide to the Bible, it also references hundreds of passages from the Old and New Testaments, and expands on many of the themes in the final book of the Bible leading up to Christ's return to Earth.
"It takes time and it takes study to master the components of the Book of Revelation, and anyone who says they have all the answers, myself included, is not telling the truth. Nobody has all the answers. But a blessing rewards those who embark upon the studies of the Book of Revelation – not a curse, not confusion, but a blessing," the author told CP.
The Disciple's Guide does not shy away from engaging with many of the complicated subjects presented in the prophetic book, but Wood insists that his book can be fully understood even by those with a basic grasp of the Scripture, and promises to give everyday church-goers a deeper and broader appreciation of the Book of Revelation.
"Practicing Christians are deeply rooted in the canons of Christmas and Easter, but for a long time, people have been very hesitant to embark upon studies that pertain to the most dramatic event of human history – the return of Jesus Christ," Wood said.
He added, "People have been reluctant to study that because of various false planting the enemy has put into people's minds – ideas that leads them to say 'It is too complicated, it is too deep, I get scared, I'm afraid' – but nothing could be farther from the truth.

The author has no predictions about the exact date or time of Christ's return to Earth, but believes it will happen within his lifetime.
"I have seen the signs continue to manifest themselves as time has gone by – just this morning, there was another huge earthquake in Indonesia – that's just one of many, many signs that we are living in the times of the return of Christ. Now, I don't set dates. I could be wrong, we are not dogmatic – Christ may come this afternoon, he may come in three years, in 15 years, but we do believe we are living in the last days," Wood stressed.
Although not everyone agrees with him about the end times – he has met good, practicing Christians who do not believe the signs today mean anything, but he does not judge them, as "it is all a matter of belief," the author says.
