The Christian organization Lifewater International has recruited an NFL star to help them in their mission to bring aid to poor countries.
Seth Olsen, 26, right guard for the Indianapolis Colts, has been making a difference for the nonprofit Christian organization, Lifewater International. He has been making charitable contributions to Lifewater and has also visited Uganda to see how his contributions are being utilized, according to Charisma News.
Lifewaters dispatches trained volunteers to visit in-country partners to implement water, sanitation and hygiene improvement projects in poor countries around the world. Olsen recently joined them for a 10-day trip to the Aylet Village in northern Uganda.
Olsen said it was an amazing experience and spoke of his experience in the Charisma News.
"It was an amazing experience. I witnessed a well drilling and a hand pump installation. The women in the village were dancing and singing," Olsen said.
"It was amazing to see the smiles on their faces and see how happy they were that they no longer had to drink water out of their old water source," he added.

The people of the Aylet Village usually have to walk three miles to get water and carry them in containers when returning from their journey. Contaminated water has led to the spread of a variety of diseases through the community, including diarrhea, hepatitis, typhoid and yellow fever.
"Just surviving and existing in the extreme poverty I witnessed takes up their entire day," Olsen said. "But now they have the peace of mind of knowing their water is not only close by, but safe."
Lifewater has been assisting poor countries with aid since 1977. Along with trained volunteers and in-country partners, they have helped improve water, sanitation and hygiene for over two million people and over 40 countries.
They have also helped spread the gospel in some of the poorest countries in the world. Lifewater is currently working on water, sanitation and hygiene projects in Ethiopia, Cambodia, Tanzania and Kenya.
Olsen, who originally started donating to Lifewater as a member of the Denver Broncos, hopes to spread the word about Lifewater's effort and is hoping others will join him in supporting them and their cause.
