Wednesday has arrived with National Siblings Day, and families everywhere are celebrating.

This year marks the 14th annual celebration of siblings, and although the holiday is not as widely celebrated as other family values holidays such as Mother's Day, the event commemorates the bond between brothers and sisters.

Each year on April 10, families pause to appreciate the influence that siblings have in today's households.

Furthermore, Sibling Day honors the life-long friendship found between brothers and sisters.

There are dozens of celebrity siblings in Hollywood who are well known for their closeness, including the Kardashian sisters. Kourtney, Khloe, and Kim Kardashian's relationship is featured on E! Network's "Keeping Up with the Kardashians."

Kim has publicly praised her sisters for their support on numerous occasions.

"I love my sisters," said Kardashian during an episode of "KUWTK." "Kourtney is the most loyal and responsible personI know and Khloe definitely has the biggest heart."

Jessica Simpson and her sister Ashlee are also often in the limelight for their familial bond. The pair recently appeared at a fashion event in North Carolina together, and reports even indicate that Jessica helps keep her sister in line. The singer has reportedly been "keeping an eye" on Ashlee.

"Jessica Simpson has been discreetly told by mom Tina to keep an eye on troubled little sister Ashlee," a source close to the family told Radar Online.

Meanwhile on Twitter, many users are honoring their family members on National Sibling Day.

"Today is National Siblings Day," posted Rain. "Tell your siblings how much you love them by placing an old photo in a special frame."

"National Siblings Day," AARP Home & Family wrote. "So be sure to hug, call or remember the brothers and sisters in your life! #familyiseverything"

Another Twitter user advised: "Take time to check-in with those you love today."
