The family of missing baby Lisa Irwin has decided to take a break from the media; imposing a media blackout until at least next week.
The family canceled a scheduled press conference for today and announced that they would not be speaking publically until next week due to “exhaustion.”
The family said, “The last few weeks have been exhausting to everyone working on behalf of the Irwin family, it has exhausted Lisa’s parents and her friends and family. Therefore, the consensus is we all need a rest.”
Meanwhile, the search for the missing 11-month-old Kansas City infant continued today with investigators combing through Chaumiere Lake, a lake close to where the child went missing.
Police spokesman Darin Snapp told AP that the search only lasted an hour and no significant evidence was found.
The search through the lake was the next step in the search process after authorities had spent the last four weeks scouring wooded areas, abandoned homes, and dumpsters surrounding the residence.

Investigators also combed the infant’s home for 17 hours Wednesday, leaving with multiple bags of evidence.
Investigators have requested that the parents of the missing infant partake in unrestricted separate interviews concerning their daughter’s disappearance.
However, the Irwin’s have declined the request.
The Irwin's lawyer Cyndy Short has said that the couple has declined the request because the parents do not want to be interviewed without their lawyers present.
Short maintains that the Irwin’s do not know where their beloved daughter is.
As of yet, there have been no identified suspects in the case and Kansas City police Cap. Steve Young has said that detectives remain bemused with unanswered questions in the case.
