Liverpool vs Everton takes place Sunday in one of the big English Premier League games this weekend. This derby game is always explosive and it should be an intriguing contest. The action starts at 9.30 a.m. ET and can be watched online through free live stream (link provided below).

This will be the 219th derby meeting between these two Merseyside clubs, with Liverpool holding the advantage with 87 wins compared to Everton's 66 wins. There have been 65 draws.

However, in recent times the situation is even worse for Everton, who have won just one out of their last 11 English Premier League matches against Liverpool - drawing three, and losing seven.

This is always an emotional fixture, and tempers easily get raised. There have been 20 red cards in this fixture just over the Premier League era, which is a massive six more than any other fixture match up in the division.

Liverpool's season is slowly getting back on track following a terrible start. They now sit in 13th place with nine points from eight games.

Everton meanwhile are enjoying a good start to the season, and will be enjoying seeing their Merseyside neighbors struggle in the bottom half of the division. They currently sit in fifth with 15 points from their eight games so far.

Liverpool come into this game after successive 1-0 wins over Reading and Russian side Anzhi Makhachkala.

This is Brendan Rodgers' first derby as Liverpool manager, where as this is David Moyes' 24th. That experience could prove vital as Everton look to continue their push for a Champions League spot this season.
