LG recently announced that it would be unveiling two new smartphones that will run Android 4.0, Ice Cream Sandwich at this year's Mobile World Congress.

The smartphone maker will be showing off its new line called L-Style that includes the 3.2-inch LG Optimus L3, the 4-inch Optimus L5, and the 4.3-inch Optimus L7.

Both the L5 and L7 will come with Android 4.0, Ice Cream Sandwich pre-installed. The L3 that will launch in Europe next month will be the only device in the line that will not be running the newest version of Android software.

According to the press release, the new devices feature leather back covers, a thin design, squared angles and a "metal feel of sophistication."

The devices are set to make their debut at this year's Mobile World Congress where other smartphone makers are expected to show off some of their new handsets and tablets off as well.

Major players such as Samsung should be debuting some impressive hardware as well. However, the company will not be unveiling the long anticipated Samsung Galaxy S3.

Samsung confirmed recently that its intentions for the successor to the "iPhone killer" was to have it launch shortly after its unveiling. And the company was not able to have the release occur early enough in order to have it coincide with MWC 2012.

Samsung fans should hear more about that smartphone before the summer of 2012 arrives.

Google has let on that it will be making huge waves at MWC debuting some impressive Android devices.

HTC is also expected to make its presence felt by unveiling one of the world's first quad-core smartphones with the One X.

Microsoft is rumored to be launching a consumer preview version of its Windows 8 software during the days of MWC as well.
