This September marks the ten-year anniversary of the al-Qaida terrorist attacks on the United States.

Lady Gaga along with several other artists have teamed up with MTV parent company Viacom to create a campaign commemorating the tragic day.

The multiplatform public service campaign asks, “Ten years later, what will you do to remember?” and is designed to inspire Americans to honor the 10th anniversary of the 9/11 attacks by carrying out good works of charity or volunteer services.

The “I Will” campaign has paired with MyGoodDeed and HandsOn Network, organizers of this year’s September 11 National Day of Service and Remembrance.

Lady Gaga, Nas, DJ Pauly D, Fran Drescher, Julianne Hough, and Drake Bell, along with Viacom employees are featured in the public service announcements that were aired starting September 6 and will continue through September 11.

“We were in disbelief,” Gaga, remembering the attacks, said in the promo. “We all watched the second tower fall together.”

MTV News reported that Pauly D recalled feeling “a sense of helplessness.” He pledged:
“I will call all my family members on that day.”

Fran Drescher said, “I was mortified by what I was seeing [in regards to the terror attacks].”

Viacom networks will not only air the series of public service announcements but the company’s digital properties are also supporting “I Will” with the creation of a widget that allows visitors to upload their personal responses to the question – “What will you do on 9/11 in tribute?”

"Everyone was affected by the tragic events of September 11, which claimed the lives of so many family members, friends and colleagues," said Philippe Dauman, president and CEO of Viacom, in a statement.

Dauman added, "A decade later, we hope that our audiences and the entire Viacom family will pause to reflect on the profound impact of that day. We are proud to join this call to action and encourage everyone to make a personal tribute."
