Lady Gaga continued her ongoing campaign against bullying Tuesday when she met with several White House aids.

Lady Gaga vowed to meet with President Obama after the death of 14-year-old Jamey Rodemeyer, who was tormented because of his sexuality up until he committed suicide.
On twitter, Gaga wrote, “I have so much anger. It is hard to feel love when cruelty takes someone’s life … Bullying must (be) illegal. It is a hate crime.”
She then boldly declared, “I am meeting with our President. I will not stop fighting. This must end. Our generation has the power to end it.”
ABC reported in September that Lady Gaga brought up the issue with the president during a fundraiser in California. She thanked him for holding an anti-bullying conference and pleaded for continuing efforts to end school bullying.

Lady Gaga began the Born This Way Foundation to address the issue. The foundation is lead by the star and her mother Cynthia Germanotta.
According to the foundations Website, the project, which is named after her second album and its title track, “will focus on youth empowerment and equality by addressing issues like self-confidence, well-being, anti-bullying, mentoring and career development.”
Gaga is partnering with the John D. & Catherine T. MacArthur Foundation, the California Endowment and Harvard University. The foundation officially launches in 2012.
