Britain's Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge arrives for the wedding between Zara Phillips, the eldest granddaughter of Queen Elizabeth, and England rugby captain Mike Tindall, at Canongate Kirk in Edinburgh, Scotland July 30, 2011.

The Royal couple was among 250 guests who attended the nuptials of close friend and polo player Mark Tomlinson, who married Olympic equestrian Laura Bechtolsheimer, in the town of Arosa. For some onlookers the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge's attendance was the highlight of the event.

Middleton, who is said to be 17 weeks along in her pregnancy, walked "gingerly up the steps to the church. She was being very careful in her heels," an onlooker told People magazine.

Prince William, 30, wore a traditional tailcoat suit while Middleton, 31, opted to wear a Max Mara dress accompanied with a pale coat and hat. Also in attendance was Prince Harry, close friends James Meade and fiancée Laura Marsham, Guy Pelly and Olivia Hunt.

The royal couple, whose first child is due in July, appeared to be relaxed and happy despite a recent scandal involving Middleton being photographed in a two piece bikini.

Several tabloids around the world recently published intrusive photographs of Middleton taken while the Duchess was on vacation. They appeared to show her bare baby bump.

"We are disappointed that photographs of the Duke and Duchess on a private holiday look likely to be published overseas," a St James' Palace spokesman said in a statement. "This is a clear breach of the couple's right to privacy."

The photos were first published in February by Italian tabloid magazine CHI, which has become renowned for publishing invasive photos of Britain's Royal family.

In September CHI ran a series of semi-nude photographs of Middleton despite receiving widespread backlash. Topless and bottomless photos of Middleton were first published by France's Closer magazine, although the royal couple won an injunction just days later blocking the magazine from further publication after taking legal action.
