For three weeks people have watched Jodi Arias take the stand in her own defense. Now, though, they have the opportunity to see a different side to the woman accused of shooting, stabbing, and cutting her boyfriend's throat from ear to ear.

In a video released by the police, Arias can be see displaying odd behavior, including standing on her head, asking if she can clean herself up before being taken to jail, and singing to herself. Prosecutors allege that Arias has selective amnesia, which explains her odd behavior and inability to recall certain events during the murder.

Her attorneys, however, have refuted the claims and state that Arias suffers from post-traumatic stress disorder. PTSD generally affects those who have been under significant stress or trauma, such as assault victims or military veterans. Arias' psychologist testified that she lied to him during an examination for PTSD, which could have skewed his diagnosis.

"Perhaps I should have re-administered that test," Dr. Richard Samuels told the court on Monday. "People who are involved in imposing harm to another can develop PTSD as a result of the harm they have caused. By creating her alternative reality, it's as if it didn't happen, and it reduces the level of stress," Samuels added.

It certainly appears as though Arias is under a great deal of stress in the interrogation video. She frequently cries and appears to be soothing herself by standing on her head, possibly to meditate, and then by singing to herself. Of course, the irony of the song she chose to sing is a bit odd.

"I didn't hear you leave; I wonder how am I still here, and I don't want to move a thing; it might change my memory," Arias sings in the room. "Oh I am what I am; I'll do what I do, but I can't hide. I won't go; I won't sleep; I can't breath until you're resting here with me." she continuedd. The song is "Here With Me" by Dido.

It's a bit eerie given what we know about Alexander's gruesome death. The trial is winding down and is likely to go to the jury soon. If found guilty, Arias could face the death penalty.
