Berry, 45, was working on "The Hive" with Abigail Breslin when the accident occurred. She was then taken to the hospital for evaluation, but there has been no word on whether she has been released or not. It's the second on-set accident for the Oscar-winning actress, who broke her foot in 2011 while filming in Spain.

In "The Hive," Berry plays a 911 operator who receives a call from a teenager, played by Breslin, who has been kidnapped and placed in the trunk of a car. The film plays out in real time as Berry and agents work together to find the kidnapper.

Berry is the single mother of daughter Nahla and has been embroiled in a nasty divorce and custody battle with Nahla's father, Gabriel Aubry. A judge awarded Aubry $20,000 in child support per month from Berry just last month.

The couple shares custody of Nahla, but that may change since Berry wants to move to France in order to live with her fiancé, Olivier Martinez. Aubry has challenged Berry's request, stating that he wants his daughter to remain close to him. So far, Berry has not acted on her wish to move to France.

The fight for custody of Nahla turned ugly when Berry stated she had "serious concerns for her daughter's well-being while in the care of her father for any extended period of time and is prepared to take all necessary steps to protect her."

"While Gabriel is disappointed in Halle's decision to falsely malign him publicly, and for her own purposes, he refuses to be pulled into her dispute over a canceled film production," Aubry's representative told Access Hollywood. "Gabriel also refuses to air their issues in the press as he believes this may ultimately harm their daughter."

A judge agreed with Aubry and dismissed Berry's claims before awarding him $20,000 in child support.
