Green Bay Packers vs Detroit Lions is the Sunday Night Football game in the NFL this week, with the Packers looking to maintain their spot at the top of the NFC North. The Lions have not been up to par this season and have now fallen out of contention for the playoffs, but nevertheless they will need little extra motivation to try to knock the Packers off the top spot in the division. The game is scheduled to start at 8.20 p.m. ET and can be watched online through free live stream (details below).

The Packers have responded reasonably well to being chastised by the New York Giants two weeks ago, by beating the Minnesota Vikings last week. However, the Packers were not firing on all cylinders and they will definitely want to provide a bit more protection for quarterback Aaron Rodgers, who was hit far too much against the Vikings.

The Lions' front line and Ndamukong Suh will have seen that performance and be hoping to dish out some more punishment for Rodgers.

If the Lions are to provide a surprise this evening they will certainly have to keep the impressive Aaron Rodgers more quiet than most this season. He has thrown for 3,124 yards and an impressive 29 touchdowns so far this season.

Rodgers has consistently hit Randall Cobb and Jordy Nelson, who between them have scored 13 touchdowns.

The Lions meanwhile will look to combat that with the Matthew Stafford and Calvin Johnson combination. Stafford himself has thrown for 3,742 yards and 16 touchdowns, with Johnson being his favorite receiver – receiving 86 throws for 1,428 yards at an average of 16.6 yards each time. Johnson has scored five touchdowns and will be hoping to add to his tally tonight.
