"Harry Potter" star Daniel Radcliffe has spoken out against Liberal Democrats in Britain and some U.S. GOP candidates – calling for gay marriage and relationship education in schools – in a tell-all interview with U.K. magazine Attitude.
Radcliffe, an avowed atheist, revealed in his discussion of British politics that he was not happy with the Liberal Democrats' place in the coalition.
The actor, whose current film "The Woman in Black" recently debuted, told Attitude that he would most likely vote for the Labour Party, led by "genuinely leftwing" leader Ed Miliband.
"From what I've seen of Ed Miliband, I really like him and he speaks for what I believe in. I think he's genuine, genuinely leftwing, and will act as such if he gets in," he stated.
The 22-year-old also shared that he wanted to see gay marriage and relationship education – both gay and straight – covered in schools. Radcliffe said he especially wanted to see this in America.
"I'm not religious, I'm an atheist, and a militant atheist when religion starts impacting on legislation. We need sex education in schools," he said.

According to the actor, he was "disgusted, amazed, [and] stunned" by Republican presidential hopefuls like Michele Bachmann and Rick Santorum who have publicly opposed homosexual marriage.
"But they disgusted me less than candidates like Rick Perry, who made that ridiculous advert wearing 'the Brokeback jacket,' and I think pretend to be homophobic just to win votes."
Radcliffe told the U.K. magazine that he wanted President Barack Obama to openly back gay marriage but questioned whether this was realistic. However, he acknowledged that he would rather have "someone like [Obama] in the White House than the alternative."
Attitude's March issue featuring Radcliffe's interview hit store shelves Monday. The magazine's exclusive also sees the 22-year-old star talk about his personal life and new movie "The Woman in Black."
