Chris Brown, 23-year-old Grammy-Award winning R&B star, recently defended himself on Twitter after music fans assumed that he had aimed a homophobic slur at bisexual singer Frank Ocean.

Brown made headlines for his alleged response to a member of the paparazzi in Cannes, France who asked about his thoughts concerning Ocean's recent admittance of engaging in homosexual acts.

"Man, no homo," Brown reportedly responded, according to a press release published on PRLog.

After reading reports about Brown's alleged comments, people began speaking out about the singer on Twitter.

"He stays with his foot in his mouth," one person tweeted.

Another person pointed out that the singer's behavior was getting worse.

"Chris Brown just gets more violent/bigoted/awful/sad every day," another wrote on the social networking website.

Despite people's thoughts about him, Brown took to Twitter to defend himself against the rumors about him speaking out about Ocean's homosexuality.

"My opinion on the whole Frank Ocean subject is...love who you want to love," Brown tweeted on Monday. "It's your decision. People stop searching for BS."

The 23-year-old went on to chastise judgmental people on the social networking website.

"Everyone is so quick to point the wrong fingers at each other," Brown tweeted. "Ask yourself...Am I doing everything I can to help the world?"

The singer told close to 11 million followers about the importance of individuality.

"The world is so bent on social acceptance that we've forgotten what makes us special," Brown tweeted. "Our individuality! #I'mdone #readabook (expletive)."

Although Brown claimed he did not have any issues with Ocean's preference, many remember that both singers were engaged in a Twitter altercation last year. While Brown attempted to compliment Ocean by comparing him to "James Fauntleroy" and "Kevin Cossum," Ocean took offense and compared the former bright-haired singer who is serving probation after a domestic dispute to singers "Sisqo" and "Ike Turner."

The altercation that began on Twitter resulted in members of Brown's camp allegedly chasing Ocean and his Odd Future Hip-Hop collective. While Ocean didn't speak directly about any recent comments made by Brown, the homosexual singer did tweet about not paying attention to certain situations.

"Man the (expletive) don't even matter," Ocean tweeted on Friday. "Life."
