Samsung has confirmed the devices in the U.S. that it will be bringing its Android 4.0, Ice Cream Sandwich update to in the near future.

Unfortunately for T-Mobile owners, the carrier was left out of the report due to the two companies currently negotiating the upgrade.

"We are in close communication with T-Mobile to ensure that eligible devices are upgraded to Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich in the coming months and will provide updates as we have additional details to share," according to Samsung.

The other three major carriers, including AT&T, Sprint, and Verizon all made the cut with their smartphones and tablets that will be receiving Android 4.0, Ice Cream Sandwich soon.

For AT&T, the Samsung Galaxy S2, Galaxy S2 Skyrocket, Galaxy Note, Captivate Glide and Galaxy Tab 8.9 will all be upgrading to ICS soon.

For Sprint, the Nexus S 4G already has been upgraded and the Galaxy S2 known as the Epic 4G Touch will be next on the carrier to get the update.

For Verizon, both the Galaxy Tab 10.1 and the 7.7 will receive ICS in the near future.

The company also listed some Wi-Fi only devices that will receive ICS soon. They included the Galaxy Tab 7.0 Plus Wi-Fi, Galaxy Tab 8.9 Wi-Fi and the Galaxy Tab 10.1 Wi-Fi.

The Samsung Galaxy S2 is arguably the most popular device that will receive the update and owners of the smartphone have been waiting almost six months for it to finally upgrade to ICS.

The operating system debuted on the Samsung Galaxy Nexus that is now available on both Sprint and Verizon back in November of last year.

Ice Cream Sandwich offers many new features including People, an updated version of the Contacts app, Facial Recognition, used to unlock the device by scanning the owners face, and Panorama picture taking, that allows the owner to scan a wide area and encompass it all into one image with the device's camera.
