Adele is taking legal action against a photographer for releasing an alleged false sex tape of the multi-Grammy Award winning singer.
Adele has responded swiftly to allegations that she starred in an intimate home video with her ex-boyfriend. Besides making it clear that she never appeared in such a film, Adele has hired a top law firm to take legal action.
The Schillings law firm, who is representing Adele released a statement to The Daily Mail denouncing the sex tape.
"Our client has not appeared in a sex tape as claimed in the article. Our client does not appear in the photographs," Adele's legal team stated. "Such claims are grossly defamatory. Our client is taking legal action in relation to this matter."
A spokeswoman for Adele described the claims as "untrue and grossly defamatory," as well as "100 percent false."
The sex tape was supposedly shared by her ex-boyfriend, who also inspired content for Adele's biggest hits. The French magazine, Public, initially broke the news of the alleged tape and published stills from the tape, under the headline, "Adele, the Sex Tape, Her Ex Takes His Revenge."

A close friend said Adele was devastated when she learned that the graphic images were released. The images show Adele in the back seat of her ex-boyfriend's car and were taken on a smart phone, according to Public.
Adele says that her unidentified ex had harassed her, asking for a share of songwriting royalties since he was the inspiration behind her songs.
"For about a week he was calling and was deadly serious about it," Adele said. "Finally, I said, 'Well, you made my life hell, so I lived it and now I deserve it.'"
French paparazzo, Jean Claude Elfassi announced on Twitter that he would be releasing the supposed tape on his website tomorrow. However, his website has been taken down and replaced with the message, "Temporarily Disabled."
Today he instigated the situation, tweeting to his followers to buy the Public magazine issue that shows the graphic images of Adele.
"Hurry up and steal or buy Public, they do not have enough printed and there are already shortages in newsagents," Elfassi tweeted.
