Adam Sandler has been declared dead, according to a new report - but once again, it has been confirmed as just the latest in a series of fake celebrity death reports.

The death hoax has been started by the Global Associated News, a fake news website which has managed to spark numerous bogus death reports over recent months.

Over the past week Charlie Sheen, as well as Channing Tatum have also been declared dead - but both of them as well as Sandler are alive and well.

The GAN started all three of these hoaxes and have revealed a surprising lack of imagination by "killing" all three actors off in exactly the same way - through tragic snowboarding accidents.

"Witnesses indicate that Adam Sandler lost control of his snowboard and struck a tree at a high rate of speed," the report reads. "Adam Sandler was air lifted by ski patrol teams to a local hospital, however, it is believed that the actor died instantly from the impact of the crash. The actor was wearing a helmet at the time of the accident and drugs and alcohol do not appear to have played any part in his death."

The death hoax, like so many before it, immediately sparked panic among Sandler fans, with a Facebook page being created in his honor and more than 50,000 fans "Liking" the page. Many have panicked about missing out on future comedy movies by the much-loved actor, who boasts a huge cult following to his brash style of humor.

Other celebrities to bite the virtual dust in recent days have been Morgan Freeman, as well as Alfonso Ribeiro, aka Carlton Banks from the "Fresh Prince of Bel-Air." Both actors again are alive and well, and have just been victims of the constant fake death rumor mill.
