A 600-pound woman who was paid by internet voyeurs to eat immensely and keep her full figure has shut down her website and has decided to lose weight and become healthier.

Donna Simpson, 44, for the majority of her life has eaten to satisfy her appetite to remain as large as possible. Starting with her 200-pound plus frame while she attended Springfield High school in Ohio and culminating when she began charging people a monthly fee to watch her eat and put on the pounds.

Simpson charged subscribers to her website $19 a month to watch her eat and fulfill their feeding fantasy. But as the year starts anew her desire to eat for internet audiences has changed.

"I realized that I was their fantasy," Simpson said, according to Cleveland.com. "Here I was getting bigger and bigger, and they had their thin wives, with 2 ½ kids and a picket fence."

The reason that someone would pay another person to eat is referred to as a particular type of fetish called feederism. Stephen Levine, the co-director of the Center for Marital and Sexual Health in Beachwood and a professor of clinical psychiatry at Case Western Reserve University, said that this underground community enjoys watching obese people eat and gain tremendous weight, according to MSNBC.

But not everyone agrees as to why someone would put themselves in a position to seriously endanger there life. "I'm hesitant to say why someone would do this," Janet Shibley Hyde, a psychology professor at the University of Wisconsin, said, according to MSNBC. "There could be all kinds of reasons. But people cannot survive at that weight."

Simpson does remain cautiously optimistic as she moves forward with her new lifestyle. She wrote on her website about the hard road ahead: "I must now face the greatest challenge of my life." She said. "In order for the people I love most to have a happy and healthy life, I must regain my emotional and physical well-being."

She has lost 85-lbs already since shutting down her site.
